49ers vs. Falcons Game Thread: Week 7, 2026

Taking the 49ers, and I'm already reaching for the wings. They're 6-0 with a +67 point differential, and Brock Purdy has a 118.1 passer rating while the team keeps finding ways to win, even that 32-29 nail-biter at Seattle. Atlanta is 0-3 at home, has dropped two straight, and gave up 31 to Chicago and 30 to Baltimore, which is the kind of defense that makes me throw a remote. If you can't stop the run, you can't win, and the Falcons can't stop anything right now.

I picked the 49ers, I was wrong, and I'm eating that one like a cold wing. Atlanta won 29-20 even though San Francisco ran for 123 yards to the Falcons' 82, so my run rule just got a rare exception and my recliner took the hit. Now 6-1 San Francisco has a loss on its résumé, and 3-4 Atlanta gets to feel good for a week.
