NFL Power Rankings: Week 7

00 H By Buck Kincaid Hizzle's Football Expert, Tuesday, Oct 20, 2026

Week 7 is here, the wings are hot, and the couch has my exact shape in it. SF and KC are on top, MIN is still perfect, and the bottom of this list looks like a game over screen. Four teams are on bye, so go touch grass or play something.

  1. 1

6-0, +67, and a perfect 4-0 at home. Six straight wins and they keep finding ways to close. Atlanta is next. Top of the board, no argument from this couch.

  2. 2

5-0 and only 83 points allowed all year. That is my kind of football. They held LAC to 6 last week. Seattle is next, and the defense is why this team scares me.

  3. 3

5-0 with just 64 points allowed, the stingiest D on the board. Kyler Murray is cooking and the road wins keep piling up. Indy comes to town. Do not sleep on this squad.

  4. 4
    Buffalo Bills 5-1

5-1 and three road wins, but two of the last three went to overtime or a field goal fight. The D gave up 171 points. Bye week is a good time to fix that.

  5. 5

4-2 with a +50 differential and only 104 points allowed. That D is legit. Dropping a 31-34 shootout to Houston stung, but a bye lets them reset. Run the rock, Jags.

  6. 6
    Chicago Bears 5-2

4-2 and +31. They bounced back from that 7-31 flop in Green Bay by beating Atlanta 31-23. Caleb Williams and company host the Patriots on Thursday. Big one.

  7. 7

Three straight wins, including a 45-17 stomping of Vegas and a 29-26 win over Buffalo. Drake Maye has this team rolling. Thursday at Chicago is a real test.

  8. 8

Three in a row, and a 31-7 beatdown of Chicago is the loudest statement on the schedule. Jordan Love keeps it steady. The Lions are next, and that one matters.

  9. 9

4-2 and +24, but 10 points at Cleveland is a stinker. Tyler Huntley was under center last game. Cincinnati is next, and the offense needs to show up.

  10. 10

3-2, +23, two straight wins, and a 25-14 road win in Philly last week. Bryce Young is steering a solid ship. Tampa Bay is next, so go stack another one.

  11. 11

3-2 and +19 with Joe Burrow slinging it. Beat Miami 31-24 last time out. Now they go to Baltimore, and that division game tells us a lot.

  12. 12
    Detroit Lions 3-2

3-2, +16, and a 45-21 beatdown of Arizona. Jared Goff and the offense can light it up. Green Bay comes to town, and the D has to stop the run.

  13. 13

3-3 with a +26 differential, but two straight losses, including a 14-17 overtime heartbreaker in Denver. Kansas City is next. Time for the D to get nasty.

  14. 14

4-2 and two straight wins, including an overtime grinder at Tampa Bay. Aaron Rodgers has them a perfect 3-0 at home. New Orleans is next. Ugly wins count.

  15. 15
    Denver Broncos 4-2

4-2 with a 3-0 home mark, but a -11 differential tells the truth. They survived Seattle 17-14 in overtime. Arizona is next, and winning ugly is still winning.

  16. 16

4-2 with only 106 points scored and a -16 differential. They squeaked past Baltimore 13-10 and are 3-0 at home. Not pretty, but it's old school. Tennessee next.

  17. 17
    New York Giants 3-2-1

3-2-1 and 3-1 at home, but 0-1-1 on the road. They lost 27-34 to New Orleans and tied Washington. Jameis Winston and the boys travel to Houston. Fix that D.

  18. 18

3-3, level on points, and three straight losses. Every one was close except that 17-45 pounding in New England. Kirk Cousins needs a win at home against the Rams.

  19. 19
    Houston Texans 2-4

2-4, but two straight wins, including a 34-31 shootout over Jacksonville. Stroud has them rolling, but they are 0-3 at home. Giants are next, so protect the house.

  20. 20
    Dallas Cowboys 2-4

2-4 and just 1-3 away from home. They lost 13-23 at Green Bay, and the offense went quiet. Dak Prescott heads to Philly on Monday night needing a spark.

  21. 21

2-4 and two straight losses, including a 16-18 home loss to Arizona. Matthew Stafford and the offense can't finish drives. They head to Vegas on Sunday.

  22. 22
    Atlanta Falcons 2-4

2-4 and 0-3 at home. Lost to Chicago 23-31 and to Baltimore in overtime. The couch at the Falcons' place is empty. San Francisco comes to town next. Yikes.

  23. 23
    New York Jets 2-4

2-4 with a -10 differential. They lost 19-26 at New England and are only 1-3 away from home. Geno Smith gets Miami next, so this is a must-win.

  24. 24

2-4 with a -52 differential and an 0-2 home mark. A 18-16 win at the Rams snapped the skid, but that 21-45 Detroit loss is the real tape. Denver is next.

  25. 25

2-4 and 0-3 at home. A 34-27 win at the Giants was a nice change, with Tyler Shough at QB. Pittsburgh comes to the Superdome, and the D needs to wake up.

  26. 26

2-4 and two straight losses, including 20-26 to Tennessee. That one hurts. Daniel Jones has to get the offense moving at Minnesota, which is a brutal draw.

  27. 27

Four straight losses and only 106 points scored all year. A 14-25 home loss to Carolina is rough. Tanner McKee needs a spark before Dallas shows up Monday.

  28. 28

1-4-1, a -40 differential, and 0-4 on the road. Jayden Daniels gets a bye week to find some answers. Go fix that D and the road woes, Commanders.

  29. 29

1-5 and 0-4 at home. Lost 19-26 in overtime to Pittsburgh. Jalon Daniels was at QB last game. Carolina is next, and the season is on the ropes.

  30. 30

1-5 with a -45 differential, but a 26-20 win over Indy last week was progress. Cam Ward and the Titans host Cleveland. Win the home opener, or at least the first home win.

  31. 31
    Miami Dolphins 0-5

0-5, only 70 points scored, and five straight losses. Malik Willis has no help. At least the Jets are next, so there is a real chance for win number one.

  32. 32

0-6 with six straight losses and 90 points scored. Justin Herbert can't carry this whole mess. They are 0-3 at home and 0-3 on the road. A bye week is a nice reset.
