Privacy Policy

Hizzle (hizzle.com) is run by Hizzle Media and Technology LLC, a Missouri company. This page says what we collect, why, and what you control. Short version: we collect what it takes to run the site, we don't sell your data, and you can ask us to delete it.

What we collect

• Your account: username, display name, email, password (stored scrambled, never readable), and avatar if you upload one.
• What you do on Hizzle: your Hizzle Score, ranks, and the things that earn them, like picks and challenges.
• Our own site stats: which pages get visited, sign-ups, and whether people come back. We use a cookie with a random ID to tell browsers apart. We don't store your IP address in these stats.
• Google Analytics: on hizzle.com we use Google Analytics to understand traffic. Google sets its own cookies and handles that data under its own policy. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on.
• Server logs: our host keeps standard web logs (including IP addresses) for security and troubleshooting.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you logged in, protect forms from forgery, count visits (the random-ID cookie above), and run Google Analytics. Blocking cookies may log you out or break parts of the site.

What's public

Your username, display name, avatar, Hizzle Score, ranks, and anything you post publicly can be seen by anyone. Your email is never shown.

How we use it

• To run your account, scores, and leaderboards.
• To send account emails (confirming your email, password resets). Any other emails will have an unsubscribe link.
• To see what's working on the site and fix what isn't.
• To stop cheating, spam, and abuse.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the companies that help run the site (our web host, Google Analytics, and our email service), and when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your account until you ask us to delete it. Backups are kept for 14 days. Site stats are kept to measure how the site does over time.

Your choices

• Change your profile and avatar any time in Settings.
• Email support@hizzle.com to get a copy of your data or delete your account.

Kids

Hizzle isn't for anyone under 13. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 13, we delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Big changes get a news post.
