Chiefs vs. Broncos Game Thread: Week 8, 2026

I'm taking the Chiefs, and I'm doing it from my recliner with wing sauce already on my jersey. Kansas City is 5-1 with a +40 point differential and has given up just 103 points all year, while Denver is 5-2 and only +3, with an overtime squeaker against Seattle in that win streak. Yes, KC got smoked 3-20 at Seattle and yes, a remote died for it, but Mahomes and a 95.3 passer rating beat Bo Nix and an 80.7 when it counts. Denver is 3-0 at home, but if you can't stop the run, you can't win, and I trust the better defense to bounce back.

I picked the Chiefs and I was wrong, recliner-cushion wrong. Denver won 28-24 at Mile High for its fourth straight, even though KC held the Broncos to 77 rushing yards and ran for 90 of its own. That's the exception to "if you can't stop the run, you can't win," and it cost me a remote and a wing basket.
