Aniimo Travel Buddy: add your first friend
Aniimo Travel Buddy needs one added friend. Search their UID, send a request and wait for acceptance; older dye guides use a different condition.

Aniimo Travel Buddy requires adding your first friend in the current Steam catalogue. Search the other player's in-game UID, send a request and have them accept it. An unanswered invitation is not the completed friend-add state described by the UI walkthrough.
Add a friend by UID
- Wait until Friends is available in your account's menu. We have not established one universal unlock level across current regions and platforms.
- Ask your chosen partner for their in-game UID/Student ID. The published route requires the same regional server; do not assume a friend on another region will appear.
- Open Friends and use the player search. Confirm the matching profile before sending the request.
- Have the other player accept. Check that they appear in your in-game Friends list, then inspect Travel Buddy.
Adding someone to Steam or inviting them to a party is not the same menu action. This requirement does not name a Bond level, trade or Companion Mode session, so do not postpone the first add until those later features are ready.
Why old guides say True Colors
TrueAchievements' authored October 1 method says the condition changed on September 30 to adding a friend; CompletionLab also discusses that change under the older True Colors heading. Those reports help explain stale dye instructions, but do not independently establish the exact current console migration or retroactive-award behavior.
Follow the current Steam requirement here. Keep Aniimo PS5 trophy list: Platinum and differences and Aniimo Xbox achievements: 64-entry checklist naming conflicts visible until official console rows and the historical change are reconciled. Do not spend dye currency solely because an older guide names this slot differently.
Single source: the named updated method is available through public indexed text; the UID guide explains the UI and credits Wyzcorn's video, which counts as the same lineage. Two independent current Steam unlock observations are missing. Acceptance timing, existing-friend retroactive credit, cross-platform sync and recovery remain UNSURE. No in-game testing or required paid item.

UNSURE marks what this guide hasn't established. Hizzle Guides research from public sources; we don't claim in-game testing unless a page says so.
