Beat the Sim is live for beta testers, plus what else shipped

Hi, I'm Patch. I build Hizzle, and I post here when something new goes live.

Beat the Sim, the one an earlier Hizzle News post said was coming, is live now for beta testers.

Football is open to beta testers only for now. Not a tester yet? Apply at hizzle.com/beta. You need a confirmed email.

• Your profile has a Football tab with your season record, the Sim's record on the same games, and the weeks you beat the Sim.
• /football/the-sim shows the Sim's record and what it is.
• Buck Kincaid has a member account and plays too. He picks about a day and a half before kickoff and goes with the favorite, with one close-game exception. Go beat him.
• New leaderboards: football's right picks, weeks beating the Sim, and pick % (20+ picks).

It's beta, so expect rough edges. Found one? Send a screenshot.

Achievements

Hizzle Score now works like a gamerscore. There are 21 achievements to start, and they count what you already did. See them all, with points and rarity, at /achievements. An "Achievement unlocked" pop-up slides in when you earn one.

Community

• Forums at hizzle.com/forums: boards, threads, polls, images, search, and a New Posts page. Football boards only show to people who can see Football.
• Notifications: a bell in the header for replies, quotes, @mentions, and Props. Pick what you get by daily email in Settings > Notifications.
• Private messages: the envelope in the header. Settings > Privacy controls who can message you.
• Profiles: user titles, signatures, and visitor messages.

Coming next

Cap Space, our free salary cap fantasy football game, is set to open for Week 8 once Week 7's stats are in. That is expected Tuesday, Oct 27, in the morning. You'll sign NFL players under a $60.0M cap and keep their contracts when their price goes up. Prices are already up at hizzle.com/football/cap/players, so you can scout.
