Scores

No scores in the books yet, folks. Not one. The wings are hot, the recliner is locked in, and the remotes are within throwing distance. Nobody has played a snap, so I am not making up a single final. Sit tight.

Early Window, 12:00 PM Central

Eight games kick off at noon. Here is the big one: Minnesota (6-0) at Detroit (4-2) at Ford Field. Unbeaten walks into a building that wants to ruin the party. I love it.

Also at noon:

  • Baltimore (4-3) at Buffalo (5-1), Highmark Stadium.
  • Cleveland (5-2) at Pittsburgh (5-2), Acrisure Stadium. Same record, same noon kickoff, and a whole lot of tackling, I hope.
  • Tennessee (1-6) at Cincinnati (4-2), Paycor Stadium.
  • Arizona (2-5) at Dallas (3-4), AT&T Stadium.
  • Indianapolis (2-5) at Jacksonville (4-2), EverBank Stadium.
  • Las Vegas (3-4) at the New York Jets (2-5), MetLife Stadium.
  • Atlanta (3-4) at Tampa Bay (2-5), Raymond James Stadium.

Afternoon Games

The Los Angeles Chargers (0-6) visit the Los Angeles Rams (3-4) at SoFi Stadium at 3:05 PM Central. Winless is winless. Somebody has to bring a defense.

Then at 3:25 PM Central, Kansas City (5-1) heads to Denver (5-2) at Empower Field at Mile High. New England (4-3) goes to Miami (1-5) at Hard Rock Stadium at the same time. Double-header energy. Clear the couch.

Sunday Night

Philadelphia (2-5) at Washington (1-4-1), 7:20 PM Central at Northwest Stadium. Two teams hunting for something to feel good about. Stay for the whole thing. Leaving early is a crime.

Injury Report

On the Week 8 report, Chicago running back Kyle Monangai is out with a thumb injury.

Buck's Closing Argument

I will be watching defenses. I will be watching who tackles. The soft ones will hear about it from my couch. Check back once the scores roll in.
