ARC Raiders A Tale for the Ages requires destroying the Queen. Published methods describe finding it through an active Harvester condition and receiving the final destruction credit. The Queen and Matriarch are different targets.

Prepare before joining the encounter

Single source full route: the detailed published preparation method uses cover, substantial ammunition and healing. Independent discussion corroborates the final-hit issue; it does not verify an optimized current solo loadout.

Hizzle's planning checklist:

1. Check the actual condition shown in map selection. Do not assume yesterday's event remains active on the same map.
2. Confirm the enemy is the Queen, then identify usable cover and a way out.
3. Prepare enough supplies to sustain the encounter and still move. Old exact ammunition totals are not a current minimum.
4. If working with others, discuss who is pursuing the award before the fight. Coordination does not guarantee the server will credit everyone.
5. After the destruction, check your award and recorded credit before assuming looting the remains completed it.

I fought the Queen, so why is it missing?

The final-hit explanation can account for participation without an unlock, but it is not a guaranteed fix. Reported bugged, historical: the player thread also contains reports of missing awards despite a claimed final hit and destruction message, alongside successful unlocks. Those accounts do not establish a current universal failure.

UNSURE: every present squad-credit rule, platform failure and retroactive grant. Do not spend another full boss loadout on a promise that a specific finishing item always fixes the award.

Frozen Trail changed explosive behavior and the location of Queen leg loot. This page does not promise a fixed grenade count, damage total, core drop or safe solo completion time.
