What stops the plan?

The same source identifies Puppets, Golden Bodies and Phantom Bodies as bleed-resistant exceptions. It describes Livingwood Talisman, near Smuggler's Tunnel in Village of Lu, allowing bleed against those types at 50% effectiveness, or 70% after polishing. Do not read that as full damage against every target.

Hizzle's learning suggestion: if a fight is going badly, first identify whether you are losing damage opportunities, using the weapon's mechanic poorly or relying on a resisted status.
