Phantom Blade Zero Even Trees Know Sorrow requires clearing the five Human-Faced Banyan Tree trials in Heart of the Banyan. Buying a Banyan Heart for abilities does not establish that a trial was cleared. Single source explicit PS5 unlock method: independent location and combat guides support the route without proving a second complete PS5 unlock.

Interact with each tree and complete its enemy waves, including the final boss rematch. The PS5 roadmap and PC Gamer describe resuming from the current wave after a death; that is not an instant-clear option or a promise that the current boss's health stays depleted.
For the first trial's Jing Ye rematch, PC Gamer recommends separating him from the additional enemies, dodging the bleed projectiles and using a charged Dread Axe during the opening after he is unhorsed. Keep Phantom Blade Zero best early build: a starter kit in mind, but do not turn one fight's tactic into a universal answer for the other four trials.
Track the quest's five completions, rather than counting hearts in inventory. Ability purchases can spend hearts and merchants may sell more; neither changes the requirement to finish the five trials. The final area requires the repaired Pipa route described in Phantom Blade Zero Forbidden Arts Beneath the Lake.
