Phantom Blade Zero Forbidden Arts Beneath the Lake trophy requires completing Secrets at the Heart of the Lake through its ritual, not merely entering the mirror. Single source explicit PS5 unlock route: other authored walkthroughs supply the quest steps, but a second complete current PS5 unlock method remains missing.

Collect Firefly's six petals in Village of Lu

Collecting the first petal starts the purple tale. Track that tale rather than the separate gold-icon Smuggler's Tunnel story objective. The detailed quest report places the petals at these landmarks:

With all six recorded, return to the barrier near Temple of Blue Fireflies. Enter Dusk's Refuge, reach Broken Puppet Pit Entrance and use the intended deck drop to Dusk's arena. The source distinguishes that drop from lethal adjacent ledges. Defeat Dusk and collect the Illusory Pipa Head.

Prepare the manor and collect four masks

Repair the Pipa at Myst in Pangzhen: combine that head with the backplate obtained beyond Yubi in Mandate Encampment and the strings from Yan Qiansui in Meigu Lake. The repaired instrument opens the northeast-lake barrier toward Mountain of Imprisonment.

For The Herald's Illusion, enter the portals by Puppet Testing Grounds, beyond the Mandate Encampment boss, and beyond the Mountain of Imprisonment boss. After the third, speak with the hanging puppet to obtain the Puppet's Tongue and Yin eye. Use the tongue at Crimson Manor.

The mask routes are Yanru's scarecrow below Engine Giant Remains in Village of Lu; Lei Ting's scarecrow down the hill from Old Man Gen's House in Pangzhen; Guhe's island scarecrow on Meigu Lake; and the remaining quest-marked Acolyte encounter in Crimson Manor. Check that the Journal records four masks rather than counting unrelated Nuo Mask fragments.

Inside Crimson Manor, defeat the Puppet Scavenger and collect the Yang eye near Scavenger Pens. Keep both eyes; one is not a substitute for the other.

Enter the mirror and end the ritual

Bring all four Acolyte masks to the Four Guardians' Mirror on Meigu Lake and interact to enter the Phantom Illusionist Ruins.
Progress through the ruins to Whiteshadow's Fall and defeat the Blizzard Blademaster so Puppet No. 99 appears.
Rest and prepare before interacting with the puppet. The reported interaction consumes both eyes and immediately starts the ritual encounter.
Defeat the High Elder's ritual encounter, then speak with Inanis in the resulting realm and check the completed tale and trophy.
