Accept the task from Lan Shaodi at Young Master Lan's Hideout in Village of Lu. Open the Smuggler's Tunnel and return to report before proceeding into Pangzhen. The PS5 roadmap treats that return as a missable precaution; simply meeting him once is insufficient.

PowerPyx places the next meeting across the road from Pavilion of Knowledge Crossroads in Pangzhen. It reports receiving the Lan Manor Key at that encounter, resting at a Bell, then returning to defeat the enemies, speaking with Lan again and entering the manor for the concluding scene. Its regional route likewise puts the key at this crossroads.

ShowGamer instead describes the manor as a Village of Lu location and gives the key after the two puppet children are defeated. Those differences cannot both be treated as a confirmed sequence. If your Journal and inventory do not match the PS5 route, retain the earlier save and follow the active objective rather than inventing a second key or forcing a location from another guide.
