Phantom Blade Zero A Friend from Thin Air requires calling an ally with any Summon-type Phantom Edge. Swordsman's Summon is one researched route: use it where its icon glows, with two Remnant Spark ready. Single source complete method: the item and its operating conditions are supported, but independent full unlock evidence is not established.

One available summon route

Defeat the Chief Disciple of the Seven-Stars in Mandate Encampment and collect Swordsman's Summon near Tower Rear Exit. Phantom Blade Zero Sword Against the Seven-Stars gives the Three Towers approach and the separate warning about Red's collectibles.

PowerPyx describes the summon as the Chief's reward and Red's participation as conditional. This method does not turn a duo-fight description into a requirement for every summon. If you already own another Summoning Edge, the official achievement permits that category too; you need not repeat the Chief fight solely to use this example.

Check the glow before spending the input

  1. Equip a Summon-type Edge. For Swordsman's Summon, confirm its category rather than using a different Edge that merely has a dramatic animation.
  2. Keep two Remnant Spark available for this example.
  3. Look for an area dense with Sha-Chi, indicated by the summon icon's special glow.
  4. Use the current Phantom Edge input and confirm the allies appear, then check Steam.

The Swordsman's Summon move data lists one Captain and two Disciples, present for up to 15 seconds unless defeated sooner. Recasting replaces existing summons rather than stacking another group. You do not need to keep them alive for an invented full-duration achievement condition.

Owning it is not the same as summoning

Hizzle's suggested troubleshooting order is category, selected Edge, available Spark, then the glowing icon. A full defensive Sha-Chi bar does not replace the stated Spark cost, and a dark summon icon is not proof the item is broken.

The exact eligible-area map and unlock frame remain UNSURE. We do not claim summons work everywhere, impose a specific ally kill count or infer that the stronger tempered summons are mandatory.

Missability and later recovery remain UNSURE; this is a first-run acquisition route, not a guarantee of unrestricted cleanup.

Steam achievement, absent from the retained PS5 list. Base-game summon route, one player; the allies are game summons, not a co-op requirement. Hizzle difficulty estimate 4/10 includes acquisition; time UNSURE. PC 1.0302256 reviewed; no Hizzle in-game testing.
