Phantom Blade Zero Where Have Old Friends Gone requires reaching the Realm of Mirage. After Huangxing, use Flying Guillotine on the fitting beneath the Lady's statue and descend through the opened floor to Inanis's refuge. Single source complete method draft: the approach is corroborated, but independent complete unlock evidence is still missing.

Reach the shrine mechanism

Repair the Illusory Pipa, open the barrier in northeastern Meigu Lake and progress through the Mountain of Imprisonment. Phantom Blade Zero Crossroads of Blood trophy covers Huangxing and the Flying Guillotine reward, with its combat gaps retained.

Stay in the hall at The Lady's Shrine after the fight. Look for the round fitting on the front of the statue's base. This is an exploration mechanism, not a request to throw a normal weapon attack at any nearby wall.

Descend to Inanis

  1. Approach the fitting and use the displayed exploration prompt. The authored route says owning Flying Guillotine is enough; equipping it is not required for this mechanism.
  2. Check the hall floor for the square opening. The quest changes to Whence the Weeping, directing you beneath the shrine.
  3. Enter that opening and let the transition scene finish. The refuge has a shallow blue lake and a bed beneath a tree, with Inanis there.
  4. Check Steam after arriving and completing the meeting. Exact frame-by-frame timing remains UNSURE; we do not claim that a later reward conversation is an additional official condition.

Leave through the refuge's portal

From the bed, cross the shallow water toward the light portal on the flower-covered islet. It leads to the Puppet Cell, whose Bell offers Traverse. That gives you a documented way back to the wider map instead of searching the lake's outer boundary for an ordinary road.

The Puppet Cell also connects to The Herald's Illusion. Visiting Inanis, completing that separate three-door quest and earning its rewards are different goals. A portal nearby does not mean all those steps happened automatically.

Realm of Mirage is not Mirage Estate

The similar names are easy to mix up. Realm of Mirage is Inanis's refuge. Mirage Estate is the later region behind the Green Serpent House passage; Phantom Blade Zero A World Gone Hollow guide covers that door, while Phantom Blade Zero Blood Heralds the Dawn guide covers leaving the Estate. Keep each destination in its own checklist.

Missed-unlock recovery and exact current-client trigger timing remain UNSURE. This draft follows the documented shrine approach, not an unsupported claim that every portal reaches the same place.

Steam-only entry relative to the retained PS5 list. Base game, single player, no online step described; first story playthrough. Hizzle difficulty estimate 4/10, time UNSURE. Route prerequisites and missed-unlock recovery UNSURE. PC 1.0302256 reviewed; no Hizzle in-game testing.
