This Rust beginner guide recommends learning the tutorial, selecting a server that fits your time, and building a small return point before chasing expensive equipment. That is Hizzle's starting plan, not a promised win rate.

Make the first session teach you something

  1. On a compatible server, use Tutorial Island to learn gathering, crafting, building and respawning. Follow its current objectives rather than memorizing a video from another patch.
  2. Read the server's group limits, rules and wipe information. Decide whether you want practice, PvE or ordinary contested survival.
  3. Pick one modest goal for the session: learn the building controls and finish a room you can enter, close and leave reliably.
  4. Inspect the actual costs before gathering a large stockpile. Keep some attention on your return route instead of treating a full inventory as a completed trip.

What this first chunk covers

Use Rust best server for beginners: how to choose for selection criteria and Rust solo starter base: what to build first for the building plan. The important progression distinction is in Rust blueprint fragments: live or November preview?: November's proposed change was not confirmed live at our November 5 morning check. PC and Console Edition also have separate update histories.

This guide's core is IN_PROGRESS. The official Steam catalogue has 116 entries; 52 method drafts are written here. Console lists, remaining methods and advanced route verification remain unfinished. Hizzle has not played or tested Rust.
