New on Hizzle: the intro tour, Curve v1.1, who picked who, and more

Patch here. Big patch day. Hizzle is still in beta, so thank you to every tester who sent bug reports. Here is what shipped.

The Hizzle intro

There is now a step-by-step tour of the whole site, and every step pays Hizzle Score. Each step opens the real page and puts a gold spotlight on the real menu item or button. It works on phones too.

• 19 steps, 450 Hizzle Score in all. Each step pays once, ever.
• Some steps are things to do: make a pick, finish an arcade game, name your stadium, post in the forums. Tap "I did it", then "Collect".
• Confirming your email lands you on the intro. Until it's done, a gold "Finish the intro" button sits by the search bar.

Arcade and Curve

Curve is now v1.1. The far paddle swings through every hit and curves the ball back, with a fading trail so you can see the path. Your paddle has three scoring rings: center 3x, middle 2x, edge 1x. Sound is in too, with an on/off button.

Every arcade game now has a version. When a game changes how it plays, its boards start fresh. Old top 10s move to an archive page linked from the game, and achievements stay earned. Curve's boards are clean for v1.1.

The Arcade page (/games/arcade) now shows each game's version, its record holder, your best, and runs this week.

Football

• Injury reports on pick cards. Games that haven't kicked off show a count per team. Open it for players, status, and injury. There is also a "Do your homework" row with power rankings, standings, strength of schedule, and Buck's picks. It drops off at kickoff.
• Who picked who. From kickoff, the pick count links to a page showing every member's pick, plus Buck's and the Sim's. Before kickoff it stays sealed.
• New menus. NFL Games is everything you play. NFL is the league itself.
• Survivor on your to-do list. It's optional. Confidence pickers get a "rank your confidence picks" item.

Smaller stuff

• Hizzle Scores now show as small gold tags beside member names in the forums.
• Every stadium has a share picture, with a download button on your stadium page. Your stadium is also in your name menu.
• Games news now has a link in the Games menu.
• Max Overclock can read Steam news again. A typo had him stuck.
