Minecraft ocean and End expedition checklist

Plan one destination group per trip, then bring its trophies home before starting the next. A shipwreck, an ocean ruin and an ocean monument are three different structures.

Coastal and ocean route

Start with a boat, food, a bed, a bucket and a coordinate record. Shipwrecks can supply maps; buried treasure can provide the Heart of the Sea used by a conduit. Check your air while looting, and clear an escape route before entering a submerged compartment.

Mark ruins, warm-ocean pickle locations and dolphin sightings for separate actions later. A live fish in a bucket, a bottle of water and a cooked fish are different items for different tasks.

Monument route

Bring long-duration breathing protection, underwater movement, armor and a way out. Fight an elder guardian rather than assuming an ordinary guardian counts. Mining Fatigue makes improvised escape mining difficult. Milk removes effects together, so replacing Water Breathing after milk matters.

For a conduit, collect eight nautilus shells and a Heart of the Sea. A valid underwater frame powers it; it does not activate by simply sitting on a prismarine block. End-city route

Travel after the dragon with blocks, food, spare tools and careful footing. Shulker projectiles cause Levitation; prepare for the fall rather than celebrating the free lift. End ships can hold elytra, while shulker shells support storage boxes. Secure the loot before attempting high-speed flight courses.

Do not combine the dangerous bits

Finish the monument trip before risking rare ocean loot on an elytra stunt. Put an ender chest or a protected return cache to use where available. The void does not provide a normal item-recovery opportunity.
