Track a deliberate attempt

Use a suitable official console server for a conservative attempt, and keep a separate line for each animal. Obtain your own kill credit, then note the game version, server, session and species. The exact ownership and damage-credit rules remain UNSURE.

The list comes from older console guidance and a later player report. It is not a complete catalogue of every animal now present in the game. The public trophy text does not enumerate species, and the checked patch does not publish its internal counter.

One-session workaround: reported, not assured

A July 2025 discussion reports success after completing the animal set without changing sessions. The separate PS5 failure above already used a single session, so this cannot be called a universal fix. If convenient, make one controlled attempt in a session; do not turn it into an unlimited grind based on a promise.

Comments speculate about sharks or polar bears. They do not establish either as a current requirement. Hizzle has not tested an animal set in-game. The current 1.17 notes and November notice do not supply a trophy-specific repair that resolves these conflicting reports.
