Rust Stone Cold Killer trophy: use a rock to kill another player. UNSURE: older console methods support the basic action, but current PS5 final-hit attribution and teammate credit are not verified.
Make the cause of death clear
Use a rock for the finishing action against a player, not an animal or scientist. Older guidance distinguishes a direct rock finish from leaving someone to die of bleeding. That distinction is useful for a deliberate attempt, but Hizzle has not measured the current game's damage-credit logic.
Where server rules allow, coordinate with a willing partner who understands the attempt and has a return point ready. Have them store valuable inventory beforehand. This is a way to make the action reproducible rather than relying on an unclear fight with several attackers; it does not establish that every team arrangement grants credit.
Check the result immediately after the rock-caused death. Do not count a wound as a confirmed kill or assume a later environmental death will belong to the rock. If credit is missing, note who dealt the other damage and whether bleeding ended the attempt.
Keep neighboring goals separate
Stone Cold Killer names a rock and another player. The distinct non-sleeping-player achievement has its own conditions. A sleeping-target suggestion in an old guide does not resolve every current PS5 variant or server rule.
No required number of rock strikes, universal damage figure or fixed completion time is established here. We have reviewed historical console methods and current publisher notes, not tested the unlock in-game. Current native trigger confirmation and final validation remain part of the active guide work.
Planning limits
Patch reference: Console Edition 1.17 and the November 4 development notice, checked November 5, 2026. Neither establishes current native trophy reliability.
This page leads with native PS5 scope. The matching legacy Xbox requirement is a reference, not proof of every current Series trigger. Hizzle's 3/10 difficulty is an editorial estimate for preparation; reliability may dominate it. Online access is required for the game. Total time, missable/reset conditions and DLC gating are UNSURE. Use the Rust console trophy roadmap: PS5 and Xbox stage, not a claimed numbered playthrough. No in-game testing.

UNSURE marks what this guide hasn't established. Hizzle Guides research from public sources; we don't claim in-game testing unless a page says so.
