Enshrouded how to farm: unlock the Farmer, make seedlings at a Seedbed, and plant them in suitable ground. Single source mechanics: the checked game-file reference links seedling recipes to the Farmer and often to first finding the plant in the wild.
Start with a useful crop
Choose something you need for food or an upgrade, inspect that seedling's ingredients and prepare its water supply. Make a small batch first. Hizzle suggests confirming that one planting grows successfully before covering a large area with the wrong soil or water level.
The reference lists different harvest methods: some grown plants are picked, while others are chopped. Check the plant's interaction rather than assuming every crop has the same harvest loop or regrows forever.
Why an old timer may not match
Current world settings can change growth speed, and 1.0 changed plant timings and production balance. A single elapsed-time claim is not a universal farming schedule. UNSURE: all current crop/soil/water combinations and an independently reproduced fastest setup. Read the current crop recipe and world rules instead of treating an old table as the final bill.
