Minecraft: Acquire Hardware trophy guide

Smelt iron and take an iron ingot from the furnace. Status: Verified.

PS5 trophy details

• Grade: Bronze. Set: Base game. No separately purchased DLC is implied by the catalogue's expansion-pack label.
• Missable: no story-ending lockout; the task can be repeated in an eligible Survival world. Eligibility can still be lost through settings.
• Difficulty: 1/10, Hizzle editorial estimate. Time: UNSURE. Hidden flag: UNSURE.
• Players: Solo route described; online play is not required by this method. Online required: no for the described route; local play can be used for the two-player tasks.
• Roadmap: early phase of Minecraft PS5 Platinum trophy roadmap.

What to do

1. Mine iron ore with a stone pickaxe or better and collect raw iron.
2. Put raw iron in a furnace input and coal or charcoal in the fuel slot.
3. When smelting finishes, personally take the ingot from the output.

Before you repeat it

Crafting a wooden pickaxe is not the trigger. Retrieve the output yourself rather than routing your first ingot through a hopper.

Evidence and editions

Mojang's official data or mechanic explanation and the independently maintained Minecraft Wiki agree on this method. Bedrock 26.60 patch notes were reviewed; no change invalidating the described method was identified. This is research verification, not an in-game PS5 unlock test. PS4 players should use this method only for a matching trophy in their own stack; see Minecraft PS5 vs PS4 trophy differences. Xbox points and Java advancement equivalence are not established by this PS5 record.
