Minecraft: Getting Wood trophy guide

Break a tree log by hand and collect the wood. Status: Verified.

PS5 trophy details

• Grade: Bronze. Set: Base game. No separately purchased DLC is implied by the catalogue's expansion-pack label.
• Missable: no story-ending lockout; the task can be repeated in an eligible Survival world. Eligibility can still be lost through settings.
• Difficulty: 1/10, Hizzle editorial estimate. Time: UNSURE. Hidden flag: UNSURE.
• Players: Solo route described; online play is not required by this method. Online required: no for the described route; local play can be used for the two-player tasks.
• Roadmap: start phase of Minecraft PS5 Platinum trophy roadmap.

What to do

1. Find a normal Overworld tree and stand beside its trunk.
2. With an empty hand, hold the Mine control until a log breaks.
3. Walk over the dropped log so it enters your inventory.

Before you repeat it

A dropped item left on the ground has not been collected. Leave enough daylight to build shelter after this.

Evidence and editions

Mojang's official data or mechanic explanation and the independently maintained Minecraft Wiki agree on this method. Bedrock 26.60 patch notes were reviewed; no change invalidating the described method was identified. This is research verification, not an in-game PS5 unlock test. PS4 players should use this method only for a matching trophy in their own stack; see Minecraft PS5 vs PS4 trophy differences. Xbox points and Java advancement equivalence are not established by this PS5 record.
