Minecraft: Into Fire trophy guide

Defeat a blaze and collect its blaze rod. Status: Verified.

PS5 trophy details

• Grade: Bronze. Set: Base game. No separately purchased DLC is implied by the catalogue's expansion-pack label.
• Missable: no story-ending lockout; the task can be repeated in an eligible Survival world. Eligibility can still be lost through settings.
• Difficulty: 4/10, Hizzle editorial estimate. Time: UNSURE. Hidden flag: UNSURE.
• Players: Solo route described; online play is not required by this method. Online required: no for the described route; local play can be used for the two-player tasks.
• Roadmap: mid phase of Minecraft PS5 Platinum trophy roadmap.

What to do

1. Find a Nether fortress and secure a retreat route before approaching blazes.
2. Use cover, a shield and preferably Fire Resistance. Fight one blaze at a time where you can reach its drops.
3. Pick up a blaze rod after a player-caused kill; repeat if the first blaze does not drop one.

Before you repeat it

Blaze rods are needed for brewing and End progression. Fire Resistance does not protect against every kind of damage in a fortress.

Evidence and editions

The Wiki describes killing fortress blazes and collecting a rod. Mojang's stable loot data agrees that a credited kill can drop a rod and may drop none. The procedure uses your own kill; the data also permits pet credit. Stable Bedrock 26.60 notes and recent indexed reports were reviewed on November 3, 2026. No in-game test was performed. PS4 players must match the trophy in their own stack; see Minecraft PS5 vs PS4 trophy differences. Xbox points and Java advancement equivalence are not established by this PS5 record.
