Fiend Form is a separate transformation, reported to last 10 seconds. It is not the erosion gauge. The level-25 Corrosive Severance upgrade permits an early eruption; do not treat that later shortcut as a prerequisite for the base full-gauge method.

Hizzle suggests choosing a target that survives long enough to observe buildup. That is a practice choice, not a verified farm location. Exact hit counts, status resistance, altered-erosion qualification and the unlock frame remain UNSURE.
