Phantom Blade Zero A Drunken Dream requires entering Drunk with Fanatic's Broken Blade. Use Bottomless Drink for Tipsy, then Drink Until Dawn while Tipsy with one Sha-Chi Essence ready. Single source complete method: authored descriptions agree on the sequence, but their independent unlock evidence is not established.

Get the blade first

Defeat Hua Qianxiao near Pangzhen Bridge Overlook in Crimson Forest; Phantom Blade Zero A Thousand Cups Drained trophy covers the fight. Activate the awarded Fanatic's Broken Blade. Soul Tempering is a separate upgrade, not an established prerequisite.

Enter the required state

1. Check your bindings. Use Bottomless Drink (Block + Heavy Attack) for Tipsy.
2. Keep one Sha-Chi Essence for the next move. Essence is separate from defensive Sha-Chi.
3. Use the Drink Until Dawn Power Surge while Tipsy to become Drunk.
4. Check Steam. Flying swords during Tipsy are not proof of the required transition.

Drunk reportedly lasts 20 seconds, limits movement and disables ordinary blocking. A further Power Surge returns to Sober; the achievement does not ask for that extra finisher.

Hizzle's practice suggestion: learn the two named inputs in a quiet opening before trying to fit them into a boss punish. A short note saying “Tipsy, then Power Surge” is more useful than memorizing a button from someone else's preset.

If it has not unlocked

Check the active weapon, current state and Essence first. The exact unlock frame and whether the tempered sword also qualifies remain UNSURE here. No required weapon level, no-damage run or enemy-kill condition is invented. There is no checked recovery workaround on this page.
