Phantom Blade Zero Snow and Frost requires freezing an enemy with Whiteshadow. Hit a suitable enemy until its Frozen Gauge fills; applying some Chill is not yet the completed condition. Single source full method: weapon descriptions agree, but independent unlock evidence and the boss-access dispute remain unresolved.

Obtain Whiteshadow

Defeat Blizzard Blademaster near Whiteshadow's Fall in Meigu Lake. Use Phantom Blade Zero The White Shadow trophy for the conservative four-mask/ruins approach and its explicit alternate-entry dispute. Winning that boss trophy and performing this Steam weapon technique are separate goals.

Equip the awarded Whiteshadow. Freezing Chaos also has a Frost form, but the official Steam requirement names Whiteshadow; another weapon's freeze is not a substitute in this method.

Build a full freeze

  1. Make Whiteshadow the active main weapon.
  2. Choose an enemy that survives your opening hits and land attacks while watching its Frozen Gauge.
  3. Continue until the gauge fills and the target becomes Frozen, then check Steam.
  4. If you only saw Chill buildup, keep that distinct from a full freeze. Do not infer success from the weapon's appearance or a single cold-colored hit.

The source describes the base Frozen effect without a level gate. The level-5 Frost Strike input, Block + Heavy Attack, adds a frost preparation that makes the next hit build more gauge. It is a helpful option, not an invented requirement to unlock the achievement.

An alternative named move

White Shadow's Frosthowl is the weapon's Power Surge, reported to cost one Sha-Chi Essence and freeze enemies hit when its attack finishes. That is the move description, not a Hizzle-tested promise against every immune target or interrupted attempt. Let the attack finish if using this route; simply starting the animation is not proof of a freeze.

Soul Tempering adds Deepening Frost, which builds the gauge through blocks. Do not assume the untempered weapon has that property, or that tempering is mandatory for an ordinary unblocked-hit attempt. Phantom Blade Zero Soul Tempering: how it works covers the separate service.

Hizzle's practice suggestion is to observe one complete buildup on a readable opponent before changing your whole build. Exact resistance values, required hit counts, boss eligibility and unlock timing remain UNSURE. No guaranteed farm, fixed duration, recovery trick or upgraded-level minimum is claimed.

Steam achievement, absent from the retained PS5 trophy list. Base-game weapon, one player, no online step described. Hizzle difficulty estimate 5/10 includes access to the optional boss; total time UNSURE. PC 1.0302256 reviewed; no Hizzle in-game testing or inferred exact PS5 patch parity.
