Phantom Blade Zero The White Shadow trophy requires defeating Blizzard Blademaster at Whiteshadow's Fall in Meigu Lake. Our conservative approach uses the four Acolyte Masks and Phantom Illusionist Ruins. UNSURE method: a separate combat article claims mask-free access, but a complete alternate entry route has not been established.

Use the documented four-mask approach

1. Follow Phantom Blade Zero Forbidden Arts Beneath the Lake to collect the four masks. Phantom Blade Zero Nothing Goes to Waste trophy covers Hansui's Crimson Manor encounter, which supplies the fourth mask in that route.
2. Return to Four Guardians' Mirror and enter Phantom Illusionist Ruins. ObsiEez's regional walkthrough explicitly gates this visit behind all four masks.
3. Continue through the realm's floating structures and snow sections. The final stairs lead toward a red light and the Forbidden Path exit.
4. Follow the cave out to Whiteshadow's Fall, then prepare for Blizzard Blademaster. Try to activate the Bell before approaching the boss; the combat source warns that the scene can start before you reach it.

AllThingsHow instead says that no masks or quest gate are required. UNSURE: the sources do not explain whether this refers only to starting the fight once in the arena, an alternate approach or an error. Do not abandon a working four-mask route because of an unexplained shortcut claim. This page does not say the masks themselves are part of the trophy's kill condition.

Prevent the freeze from deciding the attempt

The combat account describes freezing strikes, a rising ice crescent, close ice eruptions, an expanding floor ring and a leaping slam. Watch the whole space around Soul, not just the sword. Its reported 186,240 HP, 27,930 Pathbreaker Sha-Chi and 13,965 Wayfarer Sha-Chi remain Single source references.

Hizzle's practice suggestion: distinguish getting caught by an attack from losing the next exchange while already frozen. One correction may be about timing; the other may require preparing recovery or changing an item in your current loadout. Defeating the swordsman and completing the lake tale are different checkpoints.
