Enshrouded Veilwater Basin secret keeper requires reading the region’s Ancient Obelisks. The working route has two readings: Old Wounds Reopen and Ones We Carved Ourselves. Single source for the named route, with version and flag mapping still limited.

Find the reading, not just the icon

The compiled route places Old Wounds Reopen north-east of the spire and Ones We Carved Ourselves underwater in the north-western lagoon. Prepare for the underwater approach before setting out; a surface marker alone is not the reading interaction.

1. Complete the regional spire’s summit interaction and inspect the obelisk markers on your map.
2. Travel to the first stone and use its lore interaction. Inspect the entry instead of counting a distant reveal.
3. Read the second stone, then check your platform trophy or achievement separately from the map.

Use the information immediately

The game-file tutorial explains that obelisks reveal other regional landmarks. Hizzle suggests recording the reading before beginning the much larger shrine and root sweep. An Ancient Spire, a Flame Shrine and an Ancient Obelisk are separate kinds of destination.

For a shared world, check your character’s own journal after the reading. The exact imported-save and group-credit behavior remains UNSURE; another player’s visited map is not evidence that every personal flag transferred.
