The Project Zomboid TV schedule to check for early skill learning is Life and Living, with common windows at 06:00, 12:00 and 18:00 during the opening broadcast period. These are world-clock times, not a timer that restarts whenever you create another survivor on an old server.
The useful opening windows
The checked versioned schedule normally puts Cooking in the morning, Woodcraft/Carpentry around noon, and rotating survival subjects in the evening. It also records exceptions: day 8’s Carpentry segment is at 18:00, with no ordinary noon Carpentry show that day; day 9 ends with a 06:00 Cooking window.
At the usual 09:00 first-day start, the earliest morning shows have already happened. The schedule’s first ordinary opportunities are noon Carpentry and evening Fishing. Do not wait in front of a silent set expecting the clock to replay the morning.
Single source for that exact day-by-day schedule: the PZFans 42.19 broadcast reference, reviewed against current patch changes without claiming a fresh game-file export. Hizzle has not independently reconciled every broadcast ID on 42.21. Use the published scope before treating it as a perfect current calendar.
Make the show useful
- Find a powered TV in a cleared room.
- Select Life and Living and remain awake and within its working range.
- Use a low audible setting rather than assuming mute receives skill lines.
- Read the matching skill book beforehand when the trip and timing allow.
- Check whether the skill has already reached the world’s media XP limit.
The current learning references use a default Maximum Media XP Level of 3. Media is an early aid, not a default path to skill level 10. Missed skill shows may be available on suitable VHS, subject to the same setting.
An urgent wound or unsafe room takes priority over a broadcast. UNSURE: every custom starting date, modded station, episode and server calendar. This page gives useful schedule landmarks, not copied source tables or a Hizzle viewing test.
