Rust Heavy Industry achievement

Rust Heavy Industry achievement: activate the Giant Excavator. Reported bugged: historical guide comments and a separate player discussion report missing credit after activation. They do not establish a current guaranteed workaround.

Fuel the correct machine, then start it

Prepare for the guarded Giant Excavator Site and obtain Diesel Fuel for the published route. At the excavator, put fuel in its central reservoir and use the nearby operating/start control. Inspect both the running machine and achievement credit.

Low Grade Fuel in a vehicle is a different system; the checked excavator route specifically uses diesel. A teammate activating it while you stand nearby is not proven to award the same personal credit.

Hizzle recommends treating activation as its own objective before planning a full resource-hauling operation. Exact diesel requirements, operating duration, resource payouts and present reset/assist rules remain UNSURE. The player discussion's report of an unsuccessful activation is retained as a warning, not transformed into advice to spend repeated fuel batches.

Planning and evidence

Equipment/DLC: No paid pack is established for the published route.

Other players: No helper is stated by the requirement.

Hizzle's 5/10 difficulty is an editorial setup estimate. Completion time, current server eligibility, reset/shared credit and every missable exception remain UNSURE unless stated above. The Steam group/card label does not prove equipment needs no DLC. Console Edition has a different catalogue. A patch review is not an in-game test; Hizzle has not tested this method.
