Rust Apex Predator achievement

Rust Apex Predator achievement: kill three sharks with a Speargun. Reported bugged: a checked player discussion reports counter movement backward after repeated speargun kills. This is a reported failure, not proof of a universal current bug.

Use the underwater weapon on shark enemies

The primary Speargun description says it fires only underwater. Its checked recipe is 75 Metal Fragments and one Empty Propane Tank, at Workbench Level 1. Speargun Spear ammunition costs 50 Metal Fragments for three, also at Level 1.

Prepare underwater equipment, locate shark enemies and defeat three using the Speargun. The Small Shark inventory fish caught with a rod is not the same kind of action as killing a shark enemy with this weapon. Check each personal kill and the resulting counter.

The older method suggests wreck areas, but Hizzle does not promise a shark spawn or two-shot kill. Current health, damage, location and counter-reset rules remain UNSURE. The linked player's reported 2/3-to-1/3 behavior is not a reason to manufacture an unlock with external tools.
