Rust Upgrade Base achievement: Use a Hammer on an already placed building component and complete an upgrade to a stronger material through the current upgrade menu. Inspect the component after the action so you can distinguish an actual upgrade from merely opening the menu.
The published route uses the Hammer's upgrade wheel. Use the binding in your own settings; this draft does not require copying a possibly outdated PC mouse-button instruction onto a controller. Check the displayed material cost before confirming.
Hizzle recommends performing one useful upgrade and checking the result. Exact minimum piece count, whether every grade transition qualifies and all server exceptions remain UNSURE.
Evidence and planning limits
Hizzle's provisional difficulty is 2/10, an editorial estimate from the setup. Exact completion time, server eligibility, counter resets, guest credit and every missable exception remain UNSURE. This basic route has no established paid-DLC requirement. Console Edition has a different catalogue; UNSURE: console trigger parity. Current patch review does not prove an unlock works on every server. Hizzle has not tested this in-game.
