Rust So Long, Old Friend trophy: break a rock

Rust So Long, Old Friend trophy: the historical console method uses the starting rock for resource gathering until it breaks. UNSURE: current native PS5 credit, eligible replacement rocks and server restrictions have not been established here.

Gather with the rock you intend to exhaust

Equip the rock and use it on gathering targets while watching its condition. The authored PS4-derived route collects resources with the starting tool until it reaches its breaking point. Hizzle suggests combining this with normal first-session gathering rather than abandoning useful supplies to chase the condition bar.

Continue with that rock through the final durability loss, then inspect your platform result. Dropping the item, crafting another tool or collecting stone is not the published breaking procedure. This guide does not give an unsupported number of hits or require a special input sequence.

Planning and limits

Difficulty1/10 is editorial. Exact duration, durability modifiers, repaired or traded tools, death/reset behavior, imported progress and missable/DLC scope remain UNSURE. The checked route needs no partner. A video labeled PS5 hardware from before native PS5 release does not establish native-app parity; its footage was not inspected for this draft. Hizzle has not tested the unlock in-game.
