Deadlock patch notes: October 30 guide changes

Deadlock patch notes: the October 30, 2026 gameplay update is the latest official Steam gameplay post found in this November 4 check. It changes several systems that older tutorials explain differently. The forum index still leads with September 29, so checking that index alone would miss the newer Steam update.

Changes that affect this starter guide

• Healing Booster no longer upgrades from Extra Regen. Deadlock beginner build: McGinnis first buys uses the current separate-item relationship.
• Haunted soul securing changed, including a catch-up adjustment for players behind the enemy average. Deadlock how to get more souls and catch up does not promise an old fixed banking time.
• Mid-Boss now drops three separate Rejuvenator crystals, each broken by one heavy melee. The drop delay is 7.5 seconds. A tutorial showing only one central crystal is outdated.
• Healing Snacks now heal 14% maximum HP, up from 10%.
• The patch's Halloween festivities ran through November 2, so this guide does not tell November 4 readers to farm that event as a current activity.

Scope of the review

We read the official full gameplay post, including item and hero changes. This is a guide-impact summary, not a reproduction of every balance adjustment. We have not tested the live client. A later silent hotfix, an unannounced region difference or a new client build is UNSURE unless separately sourced.

For the current opening use Deadlock beginner guide: how to start and Deadlock beginner build: McGinnis first buys. For public release/access status use Deadlock how to get access and download. The unresolved platform catalogue check is recorded in Deadlock achievements: Steam and trophy status.
