Deadlock what to do first: practice your gun, a purchase, a parry and an escape before making ranked your learning room. The order below is Hizzle's suggested exercise, not a requirement or a timed progression system.

  1. In practice, fire and reload your chosen hero's weapon. Aim at a moving target rather than only a stationary wall.
  2. Try every ability once. Describe its job in a short phrase: damage, recovery, control or movement. Deadlock best hero for beginners: McGinnis uses McGinnis as an example.
  3. Open the shop and inspect one item from Deadlock beginner build: McGinnis first buys. Buy it, read the change and find any active-item binding before a real fight.
  4. Rehearse Deadlock how to parry: timing and counters. React to the wind-up instead of repeatedly pressing the button.
  5. Rehearse Deadlock how to dash jump and slide toward cover. Then stop with stamina available for another escape.
  6. Use a bot match to work on Deadlock how to deny souls: which orb to shoot and buying between waves.
  7. In a Standard match, return to the simple plan in Deadlock beginner guide: how to start. Add one new habit when the previous one becomes manageable.

What practice cannot prove

Bots let you learn controls without the same pressure as opponents. They do not establish a build's competitive strength or reproduce every human rotation. The public Sandbox reference also flags some settings as outdated after City Never Sleeps. UNSURE: exact current menu labels and every bot-supported hero were not checked in the client. Use the client's practice and Play menus rather than an old screenshot's coordinates.
