Phantom Blade Zero Nowhere to Stand requires unraveling Mirrorwood's illusion. At the portal puzzle, choose the passage carrying the sound of weeping, then continue until the mist clears and the way onward opens. UNSURE method details: published direction sequences and return-position explanations disagree. The shared clue is useful, but it does not settle those differences or provide independent Steam unlock proof.
Solve the portals by their clue
- At Mirrorwood Depths, inspect the carved tree by Inanis' VI. New Life flower bed and read its engraving. All Things How reports that this interaction enables entry through the nearby portal. Follow the current interaction prompt.
- Inside the puzzle, compare the exits for the weeping sound before choosing. Both authored explanations use that clue.
- Continue through the mist until the way opens. Follow it to the blossoming dead tree in red mist and use its interaction prompt; the mist-clearing message is the completion signal described by All Things How.
- Check Steam after clearing the illusion. Phantom Blade Zero The Shattered Mirror trophy covers Bai Chilian afterward as a separate boss achievement.
Why the printed directions remain UNSURE
| Source | Published route |
|---|---|
| Game Devourer | Two sets: left, middle, right; then right, left, middle. |
| All Things How | From the ring's starting point, facing away from its entrance: right, left, middle, middle. |
The guides also describe return positions differently. Game Devourer associates returning to the same area with a wrong choice; All Things How says a correct choice returns Soul to the starting spot, while a wrong one leaves him beside the entered portal.
We have not established whether these accounts describe different segments, orientations or game states. Neither printed sequence is presented here as a guaranteed fallback. Returning somewhere familiar is not sufficient evidence that a choice failed. Use the engraving, sound and final mist-clearing interaction to compare your actual state, and retain the disagreement when reporting a problem.
If the sound is difficult to distinguish
Hizzle suggests stopping at each option and comparing it before moving on. This is a reading of the clue, not a tested accessibility workaround. We have not established a visual-only substitute, a required speaker setup or an exact volume setting. Do not spend resources on an assumed combat solution to a navigation puzzle.
Collecting every nearby Memory Flower is a separate completion task. This draft does not turn those collectibles, the earlier Inanis dialogue or Bai Chilian's defeat into extra official requirements for this achievement. Exact unlock timing and recovery remain UNSURE.
Steam-only entry relative to the retained PS5 list. Base game, single player, no online step described; first story playthrough. Hizzle difficulty estimate 2/10, time UNSURE. Main-path puzzle; missed-unlock recovery UNSURE. PC 1.0302256 reviewed; no Hizzle in-game testing.
