Rust Oceans are now battlefields achievement

Rust Oceans are now battlefields achievement: hit another boat with a cannon. Single source: one published route fires a boat-mounted or island cannon at another vessel. The target is a boat, not simply a player standing nearby.

Confirm the target and observe the impact

Obtain access to a functioning cannon and its compatible ammunition through normal play. Position another boat where the shot can reach it, operate the cannon using its current controls and check that the projectile hits the vessel. Inspect achievement credit after the impact.

Facepunch's Naval update documents cannons as boat fittings. The checked guide also mentions island cannons; current availability and ownership credit for each placement remain UNSURE. Hizzle recommends a controlled attempt with a cooperating boat owner rather than treating a long-range speculative shot as proof of a hit.

The older author suggests deauthorizing from your own boat as an alternative. That suggestion is not independently established and is not presented as a guaranteed workaround. Exact qualifying boat types, friendly ownership, ammunition substitutions and minimum damage remain UNSURE.

Planning and evidence

Other players: A cooperating boat owner can make the target easier to confirm; current ownership-credit rules remain UNSURE.

Hizzle's 4/10 difficulty is an editorial setup estimate. Completion time, current server eligibility, resets, shared credit and every missable exception remain UNSURE unless resolved above. No paid pack is established by this published route; item access and blueprint availability must still be checked. Console Edition has a different catalogue. Hizzle has not tested the method in-game.
