Rust Giddy Up! achievement: ride a horse for 1 km. Single source: one published method supplies the horse-riding route. Its old spawn and vendor advice is not a checked current price list.

Make the travel count deliberate

Obtain access to a usable horse through the current server's normal play, mount it and ride while checking the Steam counter if available. 1 km is 1,000 metres; that is the published distance target, not a fixed number of map squares or a guaranteed journey time.

Hizzle recommends a return route you understand before carrying an expensive inventory. The achievement describes horse travel; walking beside a horse, carrying a saddle or moving in a different vehicle is not the same named action.

The checked author mentions finding horses and obtaining one at a ranch/barn, but the exact current stock, saddle rules and purchase cost remain UNSURE. Passenger credit, separate rides, server changes and distance after a death have not been independently reconciled. Keep your own travel note rather than assuming a particular map-grid width.
