Rust Getting the band together achievement: equip instruments in a team of at least four. Single source: one published method agrees with the Steam team condition; current distance and credit exceptions are unresolved.

Check team membership before the instruments

  1. Form an in-game team with at least four players total, including yourself.
  2. Arrange a playable instrument for every member. Do not count an instrument left in a box as equipped.
  3. Have everyone equip their instrument at the same time, then inspect each person's result separately.

Hizzle recommends using a four-person team for the first attempt so that an extra team member without an instrument does not make the setup ambiguous. This is a planning choice, not proof that larger teams are unsupported.

Facepunch's lending rule means the person crafting pack instruments needs ownership, while recipients can play them. Steam asks for equipped instruments; it does not state a required song, synchronized performance or particular melody. Exact team-distance checks, mounted-instrument eligibility and whether every member receives credit remain UNSURE.

Plan the attempt

Equipment/DLC: Pack instruments can be supplied by an owner; current item-specific access still needs checking.

Other players: At least four team members total are explicitly required.

Hizzle's 3/10 difficulty is an editorial setup estimate, not a tested rating. Completion time, current server eligibility, reset scope and every missable exception remain UNSURE. Steam places this entry in its public group; the shared card's Base game label does not mean the equipment is free of DLC. Console Edition has a separate catalogue. Hizzle has not tested this in-game.

UNSURE marks what this guide hasn't established. Hizzle Guides research from public sources; we don't claim in-game testing unless a page says so.
