Rust First Notes achievement

Rust First Notes achievement: play an instrument. Single source: one published achievement route has been checked. The primary wiki separately explains how to produce notes; that is not independent proof of Steam credit.

Produce notes, then inspect the result

Equip a playable instrument, or use a placed one where appropriate, and use the instrument controls in your settings. The developer wiki lists the numeric keypad as the default note controls and points to Options > Controls > Instruments. A keyboard without a number pad can use its configured bindings; this draft does not require a MIDI device or downloaded song.

The current Acoustic Guitar item table lists 100 Wood and 10 Cloth, no workbench requirement, and one guitar per craft. Check blueprint access and the actual menu first. An older achievement guide says that guitar must be found; that blanket loot-only statement conflicts with the newer craft table and is not adopted here.

The method author reports delayed First Notes credit. That historical observation does not establish that playing every instrument always repairs it. Check Rust Musical Maestro achievement for the separate collection goal.

Plan the attempt

Equipment/DLC: Facepunch says Instruments Pack ownership permits crafting its ten instruments; nonowners can play obtained instruments. The Acoustic Guitar is separate.

Other players: A helper is useful for lending equipment but is not stated as mandatory.

Hizzle's 2/10 difficulty is an editorial setup estimate, not a tested rating. Completion time, current server eligibility, reset scope and every missable exception remain UNSURE. Steam places this entry in its public group; the shared card's Base game label does not mean the equipment is free of DLC. Console Edition has a separate catalogue. Hizzle has not tested this in-game.
