Rust Skin an Animal achievement

Rust Skin an Animal achievement: Harvest an animal corpse with an appropriate harvesting tool after the encounter. The published action is corpse harvesting, separate from the Kill an Animal task.

Inspect actual harvesting output rather than assuming the kill already completed both goals. Hizzle suggests using the corpse from your own planned encounter so the sequence is easier to record; that is not proof another player's corpse can never count.

Exact required harvest amount, eligible modern species, borrowed-kill credit and every current server exception remain UNSURE. No particular rare animal is required by the checked Steam wording.

Evidence and planning limits

Hizzle's provisional difficulty is 2/10, an editorial estimate from the setup. Exact completion time, server eligibility, counter resets, guest credit and every missable exception remain UNSURE. This basic route has no established paid-DLC requirement. Console Edition has a different catalogue; UNSURE: console trigger parity. Current patch review does not prove an unlock works on every server. Hizzle has not tested this in-game.
