Rust Research an Item achievement: Use a Research Table to research a suitable found item, paying the current displayed Scrap cost and completing the research action. Choose an item whose blueprint is not already part of your crafting plan, following the published route.
First inspect whether the item can actually be researched, then check the displayed cost and result. The older guide's cheap electrical-item example is not adopted as a current fixed price. Researching a found item and unlocking a tech-tree path are separate interfaces.
Hizzle recommends checking one useful result before budgeting a whole tier. Exact credit from already known blueprints, special items, shared tables and any November price changes remains UNSURE.
Evidence and planning limits
Hizzle's provisional difficulty is 2/10, an editorial estimate from the setup. Exact completion time, server eligibility, counter resets, guest credit and every missable exception remain UNSURE. This basic route has no established paid-DLC requirement. Console Edition has a different catalogue; UNSURE: console trigger parity. Current patch review does not prove an unlock works on every server. Hizzle has not tested this in-game.
