Farming Simulator 25 best starting equipment is a compatible small grain setup that completes an entire job. Hizzle recommends keeping useful New Farmer machines, then filling an actual missing role rather than replacing the tractor first.
Buy a working chain
| Role | Check before paying |
|---|---|
| Tractor | Engine power meets the implement requirement; the needed attachment is available. |
| Cultivator or suitable direct drill | Confirm whether the chosen seeder already performs cultivation. |
| Seeder | Its crop icons include your planned grain. A planter is not interchangeable for every crop. |
| Fertilizer tool | Match solid or liquid material; lime needs its own supported fill icon. |
| Harvester and grain header | Both fit together and support the selected crop. |
| Trailer | Supports the harvested fill type and has a usable unloading destination. |
The official manual recommends a grain header because it serves several crops, and allows leasing expensive machines. Borrowing a contract fleet is another way to learn before committing capital. Lease starting fees and continuing charges still belong in the budget.
Hizzle's example budget
Worked out by Hizzle: in an invented 10,000-unit planning budget, a 3,000 lease setup, 500 seed allowance, 800 fertilizer allowance and 200 fuel allowance spend 4,500, leaving 5,500. Reserve 1,000 of that remainder and 4,500 remains unassigned. These are deliberately hypothetical allowances, not live shop prices or a promised profitable crop.
Apply the same subtraction to the actual prices shown in your save. A bigger working width is useful only if your tractor can operate it and your fields justify its total cost. Current named-machine price comparisons remain UNSURE.
