Farming Simulator 25 how to get water for cows: first inspect the cattle housing for automatic water. If it requires manual supply, fill a compatible water trailer at a supported source and unload at the housing's water point.
Check the building first
The official manual distinguishes buildings with automatic supply from manually serviced housing. Hizzle recommends reading the purchased building's panel before buying a tanker. Food and water are separate stocks, so filling a feed trough does not solve a water shortage.
The manual identifies lakes and placeable water tanks as sources. Approach a usable source with equipment that accepts water, follow the refill prompt, then return to the marked water unloading area. Watch the building's stock change to confirm delivery.
If nothing unloads
Check the trailer's actual contents, selected implement, trigger alignment and the building's remaining capacity. A milk tanker or slurry tool is not automatically a water trailer. In multiplayer, confirm the intended farm and permissions before diagnosing a broken trigger.
Exact source charges, every trailer's capacities and custom-pasture triggers remain UNSURE. This page does not promise free water from every decorative pond or claim that a particular mod works on consoles.
