Farming Simulator 25 how to feed chickens: deliver wheat, barley or sorghum to the chicken housing's food point, then inspect the animal panel to confirm it was accepted. Those three feeds are listed in the official base-game manual.
Make the first delivery
Check the housing's capacity and accepted food before buying the flock. Use a compatible grain trailer or supply container, reach the unloading point and follow the displayed action. If the stock does not rise, inspect the contents and trigger rather than buying another load of the same thing immediately.
The manual describes egg pallets appearing beside the coop and recommends chickens as an approachable first livestock activity. Hizzle suggests keeping enough grain for the next period before selling the whole crop.
Eggs and new birds are separate
Collecting eggs is product handling. Breeding adds new animals when the game conditions permit it and the enclosure has room. Buying birds does not by itself demonstrate a breeding achievement. Keep the pallet area accessible, and inspect health, age and free spaces if reproduction stops.
UNSURE: current age-specific feed and egg rates, exact breeding thresholds, every modded coop's inputs and a complete achievement-trigger comparison. No claim is made that the most expensive coop is always the best purchase.
