Original Hizzle otter fishing, an owl floating on an invented ring and a mouse checking a list while a little fish steals their biscuit. No game art or interface.
Nine fish on the checklist. One biscuit in the evidence locker. Correction: zero biscuits.Original Hizzle illustration. Not game art or footage.

Rust Pro Angler achievement: catch every required fish with a fishing rod. Reported bugged: the checked method and visible player reports describe missed credit even after repeated catches. The current complete trigger set is not independently verified.

Keep a personal catch checklist

The published route tracks Anchovy, Catfish, Herring, Orange Roughy, Salmon, Sardine, Small Shark, Small Trout and Yellow Perch. This is a nine-fish method list, not proof that no later fish can affect the current counter. Record what you personally catch rather than buying fish or moving them from a box.

Plan freshwater attempts for Catfish and Yellow Perch, and a lab-moonpool attempt for Orange Roughy. The generic developer fishing page distinguishes swamp, river, ocean and lab moonpool areas. The item descriptions support broad habitats; exact current bait/drop tables remain UNSURE.

The Handmade Fishing Rod recipe is 200 Wood and two Rope, no workbench requirement. Use Rust how to fish: rod, bait and line tension for line control. The guide's visible Oct28 comment reports incomplete credit; its extracted date omits the year. Staying on one server and keeping a log can make an attempt easier to diagnose, but is not a guaranteed workaround. Console fishing issues are separate.

Planning and evidence

Equipment/DLC: No paid pack is established for the published route.

Other players: No helper is stated by the requirement.

Hizzle's 4/10 difficulty is an editorial setup estimate. Completion time, current server eligibility, reset/shared credit and every missable exception remain UNSURE unless stated above. The Steam group/card label does not prove equipment needs no DLC. Console Edition has a different catalogue. A patch review is not an in-game test; Hizzle has not tested this method.

Sources we checked

UNSURE marks what this guide hasn't established. Hizzle Guides research from public sources; we don't claim in-game testing unless a page says so.
