Rust Thread the Needle achievement: land a Minicopter on the Cargo Ship. Reported bugged: historical comments report failures, while the checked guide also proposes crash/passenger credit. Those shortcuts are not independently established here.

Aim for the named landing

Obtain a functioning Minicopter, learn its controls and plan an approach to the ordinary event ship. Clear or scout the intended landing space, land on the ship and inspect credit. Hizzle does not recommend deliberately destroying an aircraft as a guaranteed shortcut.

Use Rust I'm the Captain now achievement for Cargo boarding context. Official April/May 2024 updates added harbor docking and later both-harbor visits, so old moving-only descriptions are outdated. A docked ship can change the approach problem without proving a different achievement trigger.

October's current notes also gate Air Wolf aircraft sales behind helipad repair. Inspect the actual vendor before budgeting. Pilot/passenger parity, collision versus landing detection and docked-event eligibility remain UNSURE. This goal is separate from the oil-rig helipad in Rust On The Deck achievement.

Planning and evidence

Equipment/DLC: No paid pack is established for the published route.

Other players: The published source claims passenger credit; current parity is UNSURE.

Hizzle's 5/10 difficulty is an editorial setup estimate. Completion time, current server eligibility, reset/shared credit and every missable exception remain UNSURE unless stated above. The Steam group/card label does not prove equipment needs no DLC. Console Edition has a different catalogue. A patch review is not an in-game test; Hizzle has not tested this method.

UNSURE marks what this guide hasn't established. Hizzle Guides research from public sources; we don't claim in-game testing unless a page says so.
