Build a global PvE Assassin around Heart Gore, Quick Slice and Insignia Explosion, saving Illusive Clone and Swift Contract for useful attack windows. Stay aware of the target's back, your actual critical-hit triggers and the total ranks behind your selected cooldown effects.

Status: Single source for the complete build recommendation. The references broadly agree on this core but disagree on investment order, Insignia choices and macros. Regional compilations and repeated client-data records are not independent gameplay tests. Hizzle reviewed the October 28 class changes and latest November 4 notes; it has not played or tested this setup.

Start with a working attack bar

Use the Assassin's dagger setup. Keep Quick Slice, Savage Roar, Heart Gore and Insignia Explosion available as they unlock. Bind movement and defensive decisions where you can reach them without losing track of the boss.

The global point reference develops these attacks with Exploit Weakness, Rear Smite and Assault Stance. Treat its allocation as a starting plan. Ordinary active-skill points stop at base 10 in the referenced system; developed targets of total 12 or 16 include bonuses from Daevanion, gear and Arcana.

Heart Gore has two separate conditions to understand

Heart Gore's description says it triggers after a critical hit. Its selected total-16 option resets its own cooldown when Heart Gore lands a critical hit. Creating an opportunity to press the skill and getting its reset are separate parts of the loop.

Illusive Clone removes Heart Gore's cooldown during the buff. That description does not say the critical-hit activation condition disappears. Watch the skill's actual availability instead of treating Clone as an instruction to cast an unavailable attack endlessly.

The reset option opens at 16, even though one authored build's later board paragraph says 20. Total 20 opens the third active Specialty slot. Check the named effect in your own skill window before pursuing extra ranks for the wrong reason.

Total 16 still allows only two active choices

Active Specialty slots open at totals 8, 12 and 20. Reaching 16 opens another option, while leaving you with two slots.

For Heart Gore, select the reset and one other useful choice: the fewer-targets critical bonus, Multi-Hit or HP absorption are different options. You cannot fit HP absorption, Multi-Hit and the reset into two slots. The critical-focused pair and a safer absorption pair serve different needs; UNSURE: one universally best pair for every character and boss.

Quick Slice has two particularly useful developed choices:

  • Total 12: one second off Insignia Explosion's cooldown on hit.
  • Total 16: ignores Block/Evasion and lands as a critical hit.

Selecting both uses your two slots, replacing earlier HP, MP or Multi-Hit choices until another slot or a substitution becomes available. The basic Quick Slice description also restores MP, so keep it available during your other attacks.

Build Insignias before spending them

Insignia Explosion's damage depends on the target's Insignia stacks. Savage Roar engraves one Insignia for ten seconds in the reference; Savage Fang, if equipped, engraves five. Check that the stacks are actually present rather than assuming an opener always applied everything.

Insignia Explosion's selected three-second cooldown reduction opens at total 16. Its Multi-Hit option and the option that retains two Insignias are separate choices. One author pairs retained Insignias with the cooldown cut; the older creator comparison favors Multi-Hit with that cut. Do not equip all three in a total-16 plan.

UNSURE: the optimal pair and exact attack order for every build. A rotation that repeatedly spends too few stacks may behave differently from a high-rank example, and a fixed macro cannot decide whether the next boss mechanic makes attacking useful.

Choose four Stigmas for the job

  • Burst setup: Illusive Clone, Swift Contract, Triniel's Dagger, Savage Fang.
  • Farming alternative: Illusive Clone, Swift Contract, Triniel's Dagger, Throw Shadowblade. Throw Shadowblade replaces Savage Fang.
  • Defensive boss alternative: Illusive Clone, Swift Contract, Triniel's Dagger, Evasion Stance. Evasion Stance replaces Savage Fang.

These are three separate four-skill sets. Other authors place their defensive swap in Triniel's Dagger's slot instead, which gives up its cooldown tool. Decide which benefit you are removing before entering the fight.

Throw Shadowblade's level-10 milestone resets its cooldown when an enemy is defeated. It does not promise repeated resets against a living boss. Evasion Stance's level-5 milestone adds a consecutive use and level 10 adds mobility. Keep it manual for the attack you intend to answer. UNSURE: an encounter-specific list of which current Ludra mechanics it can evade; its broad tooltip is not proof that every mechanic can be ignored.

Clone and Swift Contract changed the planning window

The official October 28 notes reduced Illusive Clone's base cooldown from 90 to 60 seconds. The current extracted Clone and Swift Contract records both show a 60-second base cooldown. An old 90-second schedule needs review.

The Clone reference shows a 20-second duration at Stigma level 20. Its milestones add critical damage at 10, strengthen Exploit Weakness at 15, and add a chance-based extra-damage effect on critical hits at 20. These are different effects from the base cooldown removal.

Swift Contract supplies Combat Speed. In the current reference, level 10 strengthens Rear Smite, level 15 strengthens Assault Stance, and level 20 adds additional Combat Speed. Do not confuse a recommended investment level with the first appearance of every benefit.

The older creator plan reaches Triniel's Dagger 10, then develops Clone toward 20. Recent community budgets also emphasize Swift Contract 20. UNSURE: one optimal point order after the initial milestones. Compare the effects your available points can actually activate.

Use Triniel's Dagger after starting the buffs

Triniel's Dagger has a target-facing cooldown-increase effect in its base description. Its level-10 Stigma milestone separately reduces your skill cooldowns by 10% on hit. Keep the two directions clear.

The creator method applies it after Clone and Swift Contract so their cooldowns are already running. The older comparison describes this as reducing remaining cooldown. Single source: that detailed remaining-versus-base interpretation has not been independently checked here. Hizzle does not turn it into a promised fixed number of seconds or a full reset.

Its back-attack damage bonus is another reason to control positioning. The level-15 kill reset requires defeating an enemy with Triniel's Dagger; it is not a guaranteed reset after any nearby kill.

Storm Rampage needs a staggered target

The reference requires a target afflicted with Stagger. Its selected total-16 option reduces skill cooldowns by one second on hit. This is a conditional opportunity, not a tool you can schedule at any moment.

Keep its timing visible. Spending a stagger window on it may also consume time you wanted for Clone attacks. UNSURE: the best choice in every encounter and gear setup. Hizzle has no measured damage comparison to settle that tradeoff.

A learning sequence with manual decisions

  1. Choose a safe opening in which the boss remains targetable. Prepare the selected Clone and Swift Contract buffs.
  2. Use Shadowstrike to reach the target's back when the destination is safe. Its critical-damage option must be selected if your plan relies on it.
  3. Use Savage Fang if equipped and useful, then apply Triniel's Dagger's level-10 cooldown tool after the buffs have started.
  4. Use available Heart Gore and Insignia Explosion opportunities with Quick Slice and Savage Roar supporting the loop. Watch critical triggers, stacks and MP.
  5. Reposition as the boss turns. Infiltrate requires Dodge or flying in its reference; movement is not automatically safe because a skill lights up.
  6. Answer mechanics with movement or the defensive tool you actually equipped. Rebuild the attack window when it is safe.

This is Hizzle's learning order from the documented conditions, not a measured best rotation. The sources disagree on which attacks and buffs belong in a macro. See AION 2 settings for clearer combat for in-client controls; exact delay, universal macro order and a guaranteed damage improvement remain UNSURE.

Current patch and gear limits

The October 28 notes also raised Heightened Sixth Sense's HP effect to 1,000 / 2,000 / 4,000 at skill levels 5 / 10 / 20. Those are skill ranks, not character levels. Current references should be checked before copying an older survival calculation.

The latest full November 4 notes list no named Assassin change, and the maintenance notice still has no completion confirmation at this check. Exact stat thresholds, full gear/Arcana/Daevanion optimization and new Ludra methods remain UNSURE. Korean endgame numbers and compiled meter claims are not Hizzle's global performance results.
