AION 2 leveling: story gates at 22 and 32

Follow the main story toward global's level-45 progression stage. When Ascension progress blocks the story around levels 22 and 32, work on nearby Regional quests and one-time map content, then return to the blocked objective.

A route with fewer loose ends

Keep the main story as your route through each region.
Clear nearby Sealed Dungeons and Strongholds rather than leaving every map activity for later.
Collect Empyrean Traces while traveling and review the Monolith's available rewards.
At an Ascension gate, read the missing requirement. If it is the gauge, complete the side progression that fills it.
Return to the Ascension/story quest once the requirement is met. Repeatedly killing unrelated enemies is not a substitute for reading the gate.
At 45, switch to AION 2 level 45: a gear progression roadmap. Character level and item level now answer different questions.

Which map rewards matter?

Community references associate Sealed Dungeons with character progression, Strongholds with belt scrolls, and Empyrean Traces/Monolith rewards with amulet progression. Keep those activities on your checklist. Exact reward quantities are deliberately omitted where sources and builds differ.

What should I enhance while leveling?

Do not spread your currency across every temporary item. The belt and amulet have continuing upgrade paths; read AION 2 gear upgrades: belt, amulet and spending before treating them like ordinary replacements. If a story fight stops you, first check skills, equipment slots and movement instead of buying an expensive upgrade simply because it is available.

How long does level 45 take?

UNSURE. Published accounts differ substantially, and rushing dialogue is not the same route as collecting permanent map rewards. This guide gives an order of work, not an hours-to-cap promise.
