AION 2 how to get Arcana cards: Get Arcana cards from the Transcendence dungeon matching the slot you need; compare the card's skill ranks before replacing your current one. At level 45, build a usable setup across Chalice, Parchment, Compass, Bell and Mirror, then improve the regular skills your build actually uses. Arcana contribute skill levels, a divine stat, set membership and item level; a higher-grade card is not automatically the better skill upgrade.

This is a current-global starting plan assembled from community client data and guides. Single source: the complete optimization recommendation is not independently gameplay-verified by Hizzle. Exact Transmute pricing is separately UNSURE because the sources disagree. The November 4 notes were reviewed and contain no named Arcana change, which is not proof that every older table is unchanged in the live client.

Which slot should you target?

Slot Skill pool and reported source
Chalice Broad regular-skill pool; both Transcendence dungeons
Parchment One group of active skills; Shattered Arkanis
Compass The other group of active skills; Deus Research Base
Bell One group of passive skills; Deus Research Base
Mirror The other group of passive skills; Shattered Arkanis

The global references split 12 regular actives into two pools of six and 10 passives into two pools of five. The Chalice covers the combined 22. Parchment and Compass are complementary; they are not two interchangeable chances at every active. Likewise, Bell and Mirror split the passives. The pool references also exclude Stigma skills, Dodge and the weapon passive; not every button on your hotbar is an eligible skill.

Use the card's actual preview for your class. A slot name identifies its pool, while the Vigor or Magic family identifies its stat/set package. The name Magic is not a rule that only spellcasters should equip it. Do not import later Korean/Taiwanese slot types or assume a seven-set guide describes this global setup.

Your first usable five-card setup

  1. Open Arcana at level 45 and inspect all five slots. Learning the system and meeting a dungeon entry gate are separate things.
  2. Keep a useful card for each slot before consuming spares. Compare the named skills, the current bonus and the stat/set effect, not only the color.
  3. Pick the next dungeon by the missing slot. Repeating Deus will not solve a missing Parchment if its current reward preview does not list one.
  4. Consult the current Transcendence stage and reward preview. Community tables place the first stages at 1,600, 1,900, 2,200 and 2,500 item level, with different top-grade rewards. The top-grade Chalice lags the other slots; do not assume a Unique card at Stage 3 means a Unique Chalice is available there.
  5. Choose one important regular-skill target from your class page. Establish what an actual card swap does to that skill before spending to perfect every slot. AION 2 best class for beginners: group and solo links all eight PvE starters.

UNSURE: complete current reward quantities, drop probabilities, stage-specific claim rules and a guaranteed number of runs for the card you need. The dungeon and stage tables are community-extracted data, not a loot promise. Use AION 2 Odyle Energy: recharge, caps and cube costs to keep claiming costs separate from entering a learning run.

Plan the skill rank, including what you remove

Write down the skill's current total and the contribution of the card you are replacing. Hizzle's arithmetic example: if the displayed total is 15, the old card supplies +1 and the replacement supplies +2, the expected total is 15 - 1 + 2 = 16, not 17. This assumes the same skill and other gear are unchanged; confirm the result in the skill panel.

An original Hizzle owl compares an old plus-one card and a new plus-two card. The example reads 15 minus 1 plus 2 equals 16. A replacement adds the difference, not its entire bonus on top of the old card.

For example, the Chanter starter's Dark Crush plan needs the total-16 cooldown-removal option. A card can help reach that rank, but reaching 16 does not automatically select the option or open the third Specialty slot. The existing slots and selected options still matter; the third slot is a separate total-20 milestone. Read AION 2 Chanter build: Dark Crush for that actual skill setup.

The global pool references place a given regular skill on the Chalice plus its owning active/passive slot. This is why chasing it on the wrong slot wastes effort. It does not mean Arcana are the only sources of bonus ranks: keep gear and Daevanion contributions in your own total rather than counting a hypothetical card twice.

Enhancement does not mean choosing a skill

The grade affects the starting item level, stat size, skill-line count and maximum enhancement. The global grade references list Common/Rare/Epic/Unique base item levels 20/40/60/80, with maximum enhancements +2/+3/+4/+5. Those are card values, not character entry requirements.

Single source detail: Raid Relay describes enhancement adding a missing skill line until the card has four, then raising an existing line at random. Aion2.gg's client guide also describes new-line/upgrade behavior. Neither description makes enhancement a guaranteed increase to your preferred skill. Keep a card with a useful line while assessing an uncertain replacement.

Training Arcana are enhancement materials, not another wearable slot. Registering an ordinary spare card is also different from using a Training Arcana item. Compare the complete EXP and Kina preview for each plan. Detailed feed fees, overfill refunds and inherited EXP need current confirmation; this page does not publish an unconditional cheapest-feed formula from conflicting or incomplete tables.

Transmute: the first-skill surcharge is disputed

UNSURE: current live cost. Raid Relay's global examples report 5 Mysterious Crystals/2,000,000 Kina with zero or one skill chosen, and 15 crystals/5,000,000 Kina for two. Aion2.gg instead interprets the client's add-on value per chosen line: zero costs 5/2,000,000, one costs 15/5,000,000 and two cost 25/8,000,000. These are attributed alternatives, not two interchangeable recipes Hizzle has confirmed.

Both interpretations include a base crafting cost. Raid Relay's description of a free first choice means no extra selection surcharge in its examples, not a zero-cost card. Its author reports checking the preview in-game; Aion2.gg explains a different reading of the client table. Hizzle has not independently resolved the discrepancy or confirmed whether a build change accounts for it. Compare all three live previews and use their complete displayed totals before accepting.

Hizzle's recommendation is to consider a Chalice for a hard-to-find priority skill before paying for two selected effects. Its broad pool makes a targeted result more useful than blindly hoping a new Chalice rolls the right skill. This is a conditional starting recommendation, not a universal best craft: if your Chalice already does its job, another missing active card or set piece may be the better next upgrade.

  1. Select the intended slot and set.
  2. Find the exact regular skill in that card's current preview. A missing Stigma is not a reason to keep rerolling.
  3. Compare zero, one and two selected effects and the full displayed cost.
  4. Check any cooldown, seasonal limit and available materials before proceeding.
  5. Inspect the actual result, equip it deliberately and recheck the skill total and set effects.

Keep, feed or extract?

Make the keep decision first. Preserve cards used by another build, a useful skill breakpoint or an alternate set before registering materials. Locking useful cards is a sensible precaution, but still inspect the selected-material list rather than assuming every menu filters every preset safely.

Extraction consumes cards for Mysterious Crystal progress; feeding consumes materials for enhancement. They are different goals. Raid Relay publishes extraction-gauge yields from its own checks, while Aion2.gg says those server values are not exposed in its client data. Hizzle has not independently reconciled those methods, so we do not turn a pile of cards into a guaranteed crystal or farming-time estimate here.

UNSURE: complete current extraction rates, exact fees/refunds, live Transmute cooldown/reset terms, every set/skill interaction, best-in-slot choices for all classes and measured damage gains. Sources repeat some underlying client tables; multiple domains are not independent gameplay tests. We have not played, enhanced or transmuted these cards in-game.
